Your Next Girls Night In

Some of my close girlfriends had never seen Titanic, and so we arranged
to watch it all together on my new flat-screen. Seeing as soon it will be the 100th
anniversary of the Titanic, when they will release the movie again in theaters, now would be
a good time to have a night at home to watch this all time classic, while the video rental stores still carry it.
So here are the ingredients for an awesome girls night in:

-2-6 of your closest friends
-1 copy of Titanic on DVD (or any other sad yet dramatic movie will suffice, but really, go for Titanic)

-2 bowls of freshly popped popcorn (buy the kernels at a grocery store then
pop in a pot with a little oil then melt butter, and a pinch of salt. An extra special topping is
engevita yeast which you can find at most health food stores.)
-1 bowl of candy of choice (M&M's, aero bubbles, runts or gobstoppers are all nice and can be found
at 7Eleven)
-1 pack of Sanpellegrino Limonata (can be found at most supermarkets or health food stores)
-3-7 feather pillows
-4 warm fuzzy blankets
-2 boxes of tissues (have extra's as one of mine was maliciously destroyed during our viewing of
the movie as my friend needed to relieve her anxiety. preferably on an inanimate object and not on a living one =] )

Your Welcome.

Just a few symphonic delights

Hello again. Just wanted to send a few musical suggestions out there into the void that is blogging.
My favorite music is happy music. These are simply songs that makes you feel happy, no matter how moody/grumpy/hormonal you feel. I digress- with no further ado, here are just a few great songs that pack that dose of "Get up and Dance":
-Hey Mama by Mat Kearney. This is an amazing song with a great beat and beautifully woven lyrics. Perfect for jiving around your kitchen.
-Drop It by Giovanca. She's an off the radar artist but this song has a smooth rhythm and jazzy beats.
-Your Song by Ellie Goulding. This is a cover of the famous song by the one and only Elton John. It's a beautiful version, much softer than the original. Her voice is truly exquisite.
-You Make My Dreams by Hall & Oates. If you've seen 500 days of Summer you might recognize this fantastic song. I cannot describe how happy this song makes me feel every time I hear it. It is splendid.
Well, Enjoy.

The little mints that pack a punch

So, I have to say I am just in love with these fabulous little mints a friend picked up for me in NY. They are simply amazing! They are called "Lucy Lu's Mighty Little Peppermints", and they come in sleek little black slide-out boxes with funky art deco designs. They are compact and will fit into the most difficult compact purse, yet very powerful little mints that drop kick garlic breath out the door! I have never found mints that do so well to freshen breath AND look stylish at the same time! You can check out www.lucylu.com for all her selections of mint boxes, as well as magnets, match boxes, jewelry, and more. Seriously, you won't regret it.

Welcome One and All

Hello. I'm not sure who this greeting is addressed to since no one will likely read this but it's more for me than for you. If you happen to enjoy it, I am happy that I could entertain you. Although I have been signed onto blogger for what looks to be years, (I think because of a socials project or some manner like that) this is my first time blogging. This blog is just a collection of my thoughts, opinions, good books, recipes and songs that I would love to suggest, and hopefully you will find something that is of use to you. If not, just click the little tab at the top titled "next blog". Good luck on your quest for infinite knowledge. To most of the people (if any) who read this blog, you will not know me. I will be a stranger whom you have no picture of, or perhaps will come up with an image or a face for me like a character in a book. Exciting. Some of you might know me but I really doubt it. Anyway, this blog is just out there, to whomever may read it. Here goes nothing.
